Inside & Out Book Tag

I found this tag in this blog Books,biscuits and tea. The tag was originally created by Mathonbooks.I was planning to do this in Greek but i was too tired to translated it.Hehe!

♣Inside flap / Back of the book summaries: Too much info? Or not enough (Discuss).

I do like to read short,well writen summaries.I feel like it is important to me,perhaps to other readers as well,to have the posibility to read a tiny summary of what the book is about.I hate it when there isnt one in the back of the book or the inside flap.I hate it when the summary is spoiling the book a bit.

♣New book: What form do you want it in? Be honest: audio book, e-book, paperback, or hardcover?

Paperback!Definately,paperback.Easier to read,carry around and overall better to handle.While hardbacks are better looking,usually,and a lot harder to damage,when it comes to comfort they are the worst.E-book readers are giving you the ability to carry a thousand books around but i do not feel satisfied when i finish an e-book.

♣Scribble while you read? Do you like to write in your books, taking notes, making comments, or do you keep your books clean clean clean? (Tell us why)

Nooooooope,i keep them as clean as possible!I do not write in my books,i do not fold pages,highlight or bend the spines.I want them as pristine as when i bought them.Which is hard when you carry a book around in your bag all the bloody time,but I have come to deal with it.It is peculiar because in general I am very messy but when it comes to my books,I am a Monica (Friends).

♣In your best voice, read for us your favourite first sentence from a book.

“Lolita, light of my life, fire of my loins. My sin, my soul. Lo-lee-ta: the tip of the tongue taking a trip of three steps down the palate to tap, at three, on the teeth. Lo. Lee. Ta. None other than the amazing opening paragraph from Lolita by Vladimir Nabokov.I think it goes to show what a truly amazingly talented writer can do:write a book from the perpective of a child molester and make people rave about it.

♣Does it matter to you whether the author is male or female when you’re deciding on a book? What if you’re unsure of the author’s gender?

Nah it doesn’t matter at all,actually sometimes i do not even remember if the writer is male or female.In fact i was thinking the other day that the writers’ faces and bodies are really not important at all for the reader.I do not even know what most of the writers i read look like.

♣Ever read ahead? Or have you ever read the last page way before you got there?

All the bloody time.If a book is boring me,i’ll read the ending.If a book is too exciting,i’ll look at the last pages to ease myself.ALL THE BLOODY TIME.

♣Organized bookshelves, or outrageous bookshelves?

I like my books to be neatly arranged,not too organized but somewhat tidy.

♣Under oath: have you ever bought a book based on the cover (alone)?

Yep,of course.I know of two books i bought just for their covers.

♣Take it outside to read, or stay in?

Everywhere is a great spot for reading!Winter by the fire place,summer under an umbrella next to the sea.
